Vote for the future of sustainable fashion!

Charlie Bradley Ross Friday, 17 February 2017

Entries are in for another year, and we’ve narrowed the list down to four incredible finalists for our 'Eco Designer of The Future Award 2017'. It’s now in your hands to vote for your favourite sustainable fashion designer and the WINNER of this year's competition!

>>VOTE HERE<<

Cast your votes for 'Eco Designer Of The Future' 2017 @OffsetWarehouse #fashion

The finalists have submitted one design and up to 200 words outlining their student project and what eco fabrics from Offset Warehouse they would use to create it.

When choosing our finalists we considered the designers' commitment to social and environmental impact. We also considered the level of creative license taken. We love to see designs that are imaginative, sometimes conceptual and perhaps abstract. When you can detect that there are cogs working in a designer's mind, full of details and scenarios of their personal world; when you can feel that the journey of creative exploration is well one its way, that's when exciting things happen. We like to see this in designs, as innovation and imaginative appeal has great potential for addressing the problem of bringing conscious design into the mainstream.

The designers we have chosen appeal to us for those two reasons, and we want to support that commitment, and that creative exploration.

It’s now up to you to decide who should be the winner.

The designer with the most likes will win. Simple. The winner will receive £100 of fabrics from Offset Warehouse to use for their collection and 20% off all of their fabrics for an entire year!

Voting in elections gets us down.. so vote your fave #ecofashion #design instead! #peoplehavethepower

VOTING CLOSES : 4pm (GMT) Friday 3rd March 2017.

Please note, likes on shared photos will not be counted – they must be on this album specifically.

Whatever the outcome, these four designers have already bagged themselves 10% off their fabric purchases for the next year. Now it’s down to one lucky designer who will bag the grand prize of £100 and 20% off their fabric orders for the next year.

Do tell your friends about the voting; we want the ethical design conversation to grow and spread! And be sure to check back once the winner has been announced, as we will be following their design journey throughout the coming year.

Tell your friends! We want the #ethical #fashion #design conversation to grow! @OffsetWarehouse

It's an exciting time for any graduating designer as they turn concepts into real designs, and as they transtition from the world of studying to the real world. We want to support them in every way we can, so that they feel equipped and encouraged on their mission! It will also be an inspiring and useful journey to witness, as we see another designer of the future navigate their way and wave their creative wand at the world!

So thank you to everybody who entered, and Good Luck designers!

The Background

At Offset Warehouse we know how important students are in changing the future of the fashion, textile and interior industries for the better. Swathes of students are leading the way in groundbreaking ethical and sustainable design, but, being eco isn’t always easy. With our one metre minimums, swatches, affordable prices and our ever-growing selection of eco fabrics, our hope is that Offset Warehouse makes that challenge a little easier. But we want to do more. That’s why we want to lend a helping hand and offer some financial help to a selection of graduating students who put ethics at the forefront of their work. And in order to find the best of the best, in 2015 we launched the public competition: The Eco Designer Of The Future.
